The Washington Free Beacon has obtained a report soon to be released by the United Nations that calls for an international campaign of legal attacks and economic warfare on a group of American companies that do business in Israel, including Hewlett-Packard, Caterpillar Inc., and Motorola Solutions Inc.

In addition to legal action against American employees of targeted companies, the Special Rapporteur "concludes that all companies" that operate in or otherwise have dealings with Israeli 'settlements' should be boycotted."

When the Obama administration joined the Human Rights Council in 2009, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice pledged, “Working from within, we can make the council a more effective forum to promote and protect human rights.”

Emergency management teams and utilities along the East Coast are bracing for what could be a $1 billion punch as Hurricane Sandy's 100 mph winds barrel toward the heavily populated region between the Carolina coast and Cape Cod.

The Category 2 storm, which swept through Cuba and blew toward the Bahamas, may combine with other, rain-heavy weather systems to create what meteorologists are calling a "perfect storm" that could wreak havoc from North Carolina to Massachusetts early next week. Sandy may bring tropical storm conditions along Florida’s southeastern coast by early Friday.

Syrian army, rebels hold fire
at start of Id cease-fire

Syria's warring parties held their fire on Friday morning at the start of a four-day truce marking the Muslim holiday of Id al-Adha, a short pause in hostilities which have killed 32,000 people and threaten to draw regional powers into a wider conflict.

Syrian President Bashar Assad's armed forces announced a conditional cease-fire on Thursday evening, responding to an appeal by international mediator Lakhdar Brahimi. But they warned they would respond to any rebel attacks, or moves to exploit the truce to reinforce or resupply insurgents who are battling Assad's forces.

Britain rejects US request to use
UK bases in nuclear standoff with Iran

Britain has rebuffed US pleas to use military bases in the UK to support the build-up of forces in the Gulf, citing secret legal advice which states that any pre-emptive strike on Iran could be in breach of international law.

The Guardian has been told that US diplomats have also lobbied for the use of British bases in Cyprus, and for permission to fly from US bases on Ascension Island in the Atlantic and Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, both of which are British territories.

Greece turning to desperate measures as citizens face starvation due to economic collapse
The European nation of Greece appears to be sliding ever so progressively into the abyss of total collapse, as illustrated by a recent government measure aimed at feeding the growing hordes of hungry, unemployed Greeks across the nation. A report translated into English from Voz Populi explains that, under the new law, Greek merchants will now be permitted to sell expired foods at a reduced rate to the nation's poorest citizens, who are becoming increasingly unable to afford basic necessities.

God's Coming Judgment
Something that really struck me this time through the book was the emphasis throughout of God’s creatures who rejoice and acknowledge the righteousness of God’s judgment throughout the tribulation and at the second coming. There is a sense throughout Revelation that God’s judgmental intervention into history is long overdue when it finally arrives.

Saturn Storm Creates Largest and Hottest Vortex Ever Seen in Solar System
The oval-shaped maelstrom was created when two warm spots in Saturn’s roiling cloud deck merged. The subsequent storm was invisible to human eyes but shone brightly in infrared wavelengths. It was accompanied by an unprecedented temperature spike that released tons of energy, equivalent to an enormous planetary belch.

CNN Founder, Jane Fonda Ex-Husband, Cheers Military Suicides
As if anyone really needed a reminder, the man who helped found cable news is every bit as hostile to America as his traitorous ex-wife. And no the left does not support the troops. As one anti-war rally banner read, “We support the troops when they shoot their officers.” Now Ted Turner has added an addendum of his own. “We support the troops when they shoot themselves.”

Dem Caught Red-Handed Promoting Election Fraud
A high-ranking official with Congressman Jim Moran’s re-election campaign was recently caught on video encouraging an undercover reporter to forge documents in order to cast phony ballots in the upcoming Virginia election. The incident is particularly compromising for Congressman Moran, as he has been a vocal opponent of the state’s voter ID law, which is designed to protect against voter fraud.

Sudan arms factory blast: Khartoum to report Israel to UN
Sudan has said it intends to complain to the UN over an explosion at an arms factory that it claims was caused by an Israeli air strike. Sudan's UN envoy Daffa-Alla Elhag Ali Osman said Israel had violated Sudanese air space three times in recent years. The Sudanese have not revealed any evidence to support their claim, and Israel has not commented.

Magnitude 5 earthquake hits s. Italy, hospital evacuated
The quake hit at 1:05 a.m. (2305 GMT on Thursday) about 6.3 km (3.9 miles) underground, north of Cosenza in the Pollino mountains area on the border of the southern regions of Calabria and Basilicata, according to data from the Italian Geophysics Institute (INGV). It said on its website that at least 14 other tremors followed the initial earthquake.

Kuril's Alaid volcano wakes up
The Alaid Volcano is the tallest and northernmost volcano in the islands, with a crater which is approximately 1.5-km-wide. Volcanologists are issuing warnings regarding the likelihood of an eruption of ash emissions which may reach a height of 10-15 kilometers above sea level.

The Entire German Gold Hoard Is Gone
“Half of the gold they (the Germans) leased themselves. The other half of Germany’s gold hoard was eventually leased into the market as well through complicated swaps with the US. But the reality is that as of 2001, all of that German gold was gone. Meaning all German gold worldwide, which was supposed to be stored in vaults, the vaults were emptied of German gold and the gold was leased into the market.”

Iceland warns of threat of big earthquake
Icelandic authorities warned people in the north of the island on Thursday to prepare for a possible big earthquake after the biggest tremors in the area for 20 years. The north Atlantic island, where almost 320,000 people live, is a hotspot of volcanic and seismic activity as it straddles a fault in the earth's surface.

Farah hasn't endorsed a candidate, nor does he need to. What's in A Name Like Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, Ziyad Yaghi?

Last week, a 21-year-old student was arrested for plotting to blow up the New York Federal Reserve. He was taken into custody after he allegedly tried to remotely detonate a fake, 1,000-pound car bomb outside the building in lower Manhattan, only a few blocks from the World Trade Center. The terrorists also planned to target a high-ranking U.S. official, believed to be President Obama.

I've purposely withheld the student's name to prove a point. Please select from the four names below which one is the terror plotter's name:

A. Bill Johnson

B. Thomas Parker

C. Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis

D. Sally Stewart

If you guessed C, you would be correct. In fact, if you had picked the Muslim-sounding name in nearly every terrorist plot since 9/11, you would have successfully identified the perpetrators.

Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab is a Nigerian Islamist popularly referred to as the "Underwear Bomber." Faisal Shahzad, a 30-year-old Pakistan-born resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was hoping to set off bombs in Washington DC. Mohammed Sajid Khan was found guilty this summer of planning an attack on the Jewish community in Manchester, England. Of course, there is my favorite: Mohammad Omar Aly Hassan, Ziyad Yaghi, who was part of terror ring that aspired to kill U.S. military personnel in the North Carolina area.

What makes it so easy to nab Islamic terrorist plotters is that they refuse to blend in with Western culture. They come to America, hang out in Islamic centers, and frequent the websites run by organizations that sponsor terrorism. They also seek to befriend others who share their anti-Western views, which is how the FBI uncovered Ahsan Nafis' plans.

I was reading about what one of the terrorists said in court, and I came up with a great way to speed up the screening lines at the airport. Amine El-Khalifi, at his sentencing hearing, said, "I just want to say that I love Allah. That's it." If we formed two lines based on the question: "Do you love Jesus or Allah?" we could save passengers a huge amount of time.

Israel has used profiling for decades to weed out terrorists. If a retired school teacher from Nebraska, a nun from Boston, and a guy named Mohammad from Pakistan tries to board an EL AL flight to Tel Aviv, Israel, you know which one will be scrutinized. Despite the overwhelming success of the Israeli system and the functioning means by which U.S. agents have been able to uncover terrorist plots, it is considered discriminatory to single out Islamic people from the general population.

We don't consider it unfair to only check woman for breast cancer. For males, the lifetime risk of getting breast cancer is about one-tenth of 1 percent. The risk is so low for men, doctors check them for more important risks. The same common sense should apply to national security.

It is bad enough that we treat everyone the same, but we actually go the opposite way, with the government and media doing everything they can to disassociate Muslims from terrorism. Every major terrorist exercise that I've read about uses domestic organizations as the plotters. The liberal media rarely identifies the faith of terrorists. On the eleventh anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, none of the major media networks mentioned the people who carried out the attack.

The original methods used to combat Muslim terrorists have morphed into a legalistic monster that is now after law-abiding citizens. Mississippi resident Wade Hicks is one of the latest victims. He was on a flight to visit his wife, a Navy lieutenant stationed in Okinawa, Japan. When the plane stopped off in Hawaii to refuel, upon reboarding the plane, Hicks was quickly escorted back off again by armed guards. He was then taken to a secure interrogation room, where Hicks was informed he would not be flying anywhere because he turned up on the no-fly list. Hicks believes he was detained because he's an outspoken critic of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA).

I believe the reason there is this huge effort to relieve Muslims from any lasting blame for terrorism is because Satan is seeking to bring all religions together under one banner. It would impossible for the Antichrist achieve this goal if one of the biggest players in his global interfaith scheme was commonly viewed as a pariah in the eyes of the other religions. The fact that we're seeing this planning now tells us that the Tribulation hour must be very near.

"And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain" (Daniel 11:36-39).

The Issues According to God

This time of October always reminds me of the issues of life and death. My dad died near this date in 1992. My pain from His passing from this life, while diminished over the twenty years since, continues to evoke a sense of emptiness–a void that nothing can fill.

Jesus, while on earth in the flesh, the Bible tells us, experienced in His Spirit every human emotion that involves suffering. “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin” (Hebrews 4:15).

Where death of a loved one is concerned, we can be assured our pain is understood by God Himself, because Jesus wept over the death of His friend Lazarus (John 11:33-35). Life and death, then, constitute an issue very close to the heart of the Creator of all things, the Heavenly Father.

More than any other matters involved in the issues of this presidential election, I believe it is life and death that are most important to consider in exercising not just our right, but our duty, to vote. I believe with all that is within me that America’s slide toward national oblivion began in earnest with the imposition of abortion as a legally sanctioned death-style by the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade in 1973. Since that time, a holocaust of immense magnitude has brought the deaths–I believe the murder—of 53 million human beings in the wombs of their mothers. Abortion is the nucleus of the national sin around which this all-important issue involving life and death revolves.

However, the gravity created by many corollary aspects within life and death as an issue also contributes to sucking the American soul ever more deeply into the quicksand of decay. As a result, the removal of the protective hand of Almighty God from our nation can, I believe, be easily observed taking place on a daily basis.

Sociologists who compile such statistical information report that America has a homosexual population of no more than 5 percent. Yet, the gay agenda has overtaken American society and culture as if gays constitute the 95 percent majority of our population, instead of the other way around. Since the days of the Moral Majority’s efforts to stem the tide of national immorality, there has been so little such organized opposition to the roughshod overrunning of America’s social structure as to make opposition virtually nonexistent.

These two issues, abortion and homosexuality, represent ways diametrically opposed to life. They are devoted to death. They are directly devoted to rebellion against the Giver of life.

Abortion is outright murder of the innocent (the shedding of innocent blood, as God’s Word puts it [Proverbs 6:16-19]). Homosexuality, when carried to its ultimate outcome, means the elimination of human life from the earth. Rebellion against the God who created us–manifest most egregiously in our culture through these two great sins--is the cause for all of the other problems resident within the issues that so trouble us, individually and governmentally. Whether talking about the sins of fornication and adultery within our heterosexual numbers or any other anti-God transgression one can list, rebellion–doing what is right in our own eyes—festers at the heart of humanity’s death wish. And, a death wish fallen man indeed has, because there is no sign of let-up in the march down the broad way to perdition.

Rebellion brings loss of common sense at some point. It produces a reprobate mind (Romans 1:26-27), the scripture informs. We are witnessing the insanity in handling the problems that are proliferating, thus the meltdown of social, economic, and all other elements within human affairs in these troubling times. We face, as a nation and as a world, certain destruction because of our refusal to follow the prescription for life offered by God’s love letter to mankind–the Bible.

“For the wages of sin is death" (Romans 6:23a). The moral issues, then, most directly affect our lives, according to God’s own Word. Of course, in thinking upon this presidential election, I realize that those lost in rebellion-transgression can never recognize that the moral issues are most directly relevant to our well-being as a nation.

“But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:14).

Sadly, tragically, much of God’s own family–born-again people—have become so blinded to the lies fed them by the social architects and engineers who say man can build heaven on earth that they miss what truly matters as we approach the voting booths this November.

I will not be so arrogant as to tell the readers of this commentary who to vote for as president or for any other office in this or any election. But, I will suggest that you weigh carefully what each of the candidates claims is his position, according to party platforms and/or stated positions on these matters that are so close to the very heart of our God.

America has always presented voters with choices on the issues that affect our quality of life. The founding fathers saturated their writings with Judaeo-Christian principles while formulating this great experiment in liberty. They intended for "we the people" to stand upon solid moral ground. Christians should seek that solid ground in this and every election, even when faced with having to vote in many cases for and against spiritually fallen individuals as candidates.

Although eroded and under constant assault, our process still produces Judaeo-Christian options that offer the quality of life–i.e., options that are not in opposition to biblical principles. Such is the case in this election. We can be assured that we will be held accountable for the options we choose when we–and I believe it could be soon— stand before Christ at the judgment seat.

LAKE FOREST, CALIF. – BRITISH-BORN ENTREPRENEUR MARK BURNETT, WHO IS THE CREATOR OF SUCH REALITY TV SHOWS AS CELEBRITY APPRENTICE, SHARK TANK, SURVIVOR AND THE VOICE, SAID ONE OF HIS FEARS IS THAT OF NOT MAKING A "MEANINGFUL CONTRIBUTION" IN LIFE. BURNETT WAS INTERVIEWED BY BEST-SELLING AUTHOR AND PASTOR RICK WARREN FOR A TAPED SEGMENT SHOWN DURING A BUSINESS SUMMIT AT SADDLEBACK CHURCH IN LAKE FOREST, CALIF., ON FRIDAY.

"I have had great fear, but my fear isn't of the failure of the project. It's looking back later having done nothing. It's a very serious fear. The fear of not making a meaningful contribution, of being insignificant, of looking back [and thinking] that I didn't step up. I am honestly petrified of that, or I was, and my pain of feeling like I let myself down, my family down, and not taking the risk to do it was far greater than the pleasure of being calm," said Burnett.

The reality television pioneer was one of five speakers featured at the O.C. (Orange County) Business Summit, spearheaded by Warren. The Saddleback Church founder said he felt that one way to tackle a struggling economy was to bring together the brightest minds in business to discuss how they achieved success. More than 2,000 people attended the day-long conference which included sessions led by Steve Case, who is the former CEO of America Online and presently chairman of the Case Foundation; Lynda Resnick, listed #634 on Forbes Billionaires list and #212 on Forbes 400; Michael E. Gerber, who is well known as a business guru and author of The E-Myth Revisited; and Warren.

In his discussion about fear, Burnett also talked about the making of "The Bible," a 10-hour miniseries, filmed in Morocco with his wife, Roma Downy, as co-producer and playing the part of Mary, the mother of Jesus. The series is scheduled to premiere on the History Channel early next year.

"In doing the Bible project with Roma, if I would have over-analyzed it and took too much advice I would have never started. It's too enormous, too scary, but actually my fear was of looking back and feeling like a loser that I was called to do this and I didn't do it and I have massive regrets and I'm not going to have that happen," Burnett told Warren. "I don't know for a fact that the Bible project will be as big as I hope it is, but I know I did it well and that's what matters."

When asked to talk about his creative process, Burnett first talked about the opportunities that are unique to the United States.

"America is a country, which obviously from my accent I wasn't born here but moving here, it is the land of opportunity and what that means is that this country will allow you to have an idea, take a risk, make mistakes, and try again. This country celebrates ideas and action. I know that what I've succeeded to do in television here would have unlikely been done in Europe where I came from," he said.

Once someone has an idea they should rely on their instinct that it is a workable idea and not ridiculous, because "the first thing that usually happens is a hundred people will tell you how stupid you are," Burnett explained.

"When I set out to do Survivor the amount of people who said to me, 'You know why that's not going to work? If it was so good somebody would have already done it.' I thought that's crazy. Everything has to start somewhere," he said.

"Survivor did sound like a little crazy idea that I'm going to find an island, take 16 Americans that have never met before, get them to build a society, and play this game on television. But I just kind of knew. I knew there was something extraordinary about the idea about people who have never met. Have you ever sat on an airplane and wondered if this thing goes down where do I fit into this society? Am I the leader or the follower? Am I brave, am I weak? I always wondered this things and that is the embodiment of Survivor."

"FEATURED WEEKLY STUDY"

Do you have a love problem? Let me ask you a question.

How many of us would say that our love for God is our #1 consuming passion in life? More than our love for our family, job, sports, or anything else on earth?

OK. Let me flip the question around. How many of you would say that your #1 consuming passion in life is to know and experience how much Christ loves you? Not how much you love Him but how much He loves you? It goes against the way many of us think about the Christian life, doesn't it? And yet Christ's love comes first and receiving from Him has to come first. That is why the apostle Paul prayed for the church in Ephesus.

The apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesians to know and experience the love of God for them. This is his prayer from Ephesians 3:17-19, "(I Pray) That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in (His) love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height—to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

Notice, Paul doesn't pray that the church will love Christ more but he prays that the church would know that Christ loves them more. He prays to God that they would understand more of Christ's inexhaustible love for them (multiply the height by the depth by the length by the width). The apostle Paul actually calculates God's love for us and it is infinite and endless. Paul then prays for them to be filled with ALL the fullness of God, which is the fullness of His love! GOD IS LOVE! How deep is that love? How full is all the fullness of God? Can you measure that love? How high can "exceedingly abundantly above" love be? The apostle is passionate in his prayer because he knows that it is the key to all of the Christian life. God's very nature is love; as all of His love is poured out upon us, we simply respond in kind.

I like what one author says about Paul's use of the word love: "In the Greek language a unique word is used to express the love of God. It is the word 'Agape. It denotes a love that is far above that which we experience in our natural relationships with one another. It is a completely free, unconditional, unmerited, sacrificial, giving love."

God's biblical definition of His love for us is nothing like our love for Him or other people for that matter. Our human love is fractured, limited, and very conditional. The beautiful thing about the Bible is that it defines in a concrete way what God's love is toward the bride of Christ. Without Scripture we would bring God's love down to our limited human level and since we are prone to do that anyway, we have to tenaciously guard against that through abiding in His Word. His definition of love has to trump our constant, sinful, emotional desire to redefine love. We already know that we are unlovable and we know that we don't deserve any love or mercy from God, He has a lot to overcome. We have to let God convince us daily of His love for us! God will only change you and I through love. When we abide in His Word, we abide in His love.

Chuck Smith: The love of God goes beyond anything we know on the human plane. You've never experienced such a love. It's a constant love, a strong love, and a pure love. A love that overcomes your weaknesses and failures and seeks only your good and your best. Many times you'll discover God's love the most when you have been at your worst, it is then that you realize how much He loves you.

Do you have a love problem today? Not in how much you try to love Jesus but in knowing His love for you? The Lord wants you to experience His unfailing, unearthly, merciful love right now and I hope that you will. You and I don't deserve His love and we cannot earn His love. Just ask Him now to overcome your doubt and receive all the fullness of God.

WEEKLY WORD

VOTING ABC’S

Who cares who you vote for?

I don’t.

I don’t care if you vote for the latest bad guy or good guy.

I really don’t care what you think about each or any person you vote or don’t vote for.

I CARE HOW YOU VOTE

This is how you “Should vote”

IF God has told you already that you should vote.

VOTE as Jesus tells you to.

ASK HIM then do as HE LEADS YOU.

FOLLOW THIS SIMPLE PLAN

1) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

2) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

3) Not MY will but THY WILL be done.

Let God decide for you as you follow Him.

If you DO as HE tells you to do

YOU HAVE NO CONSCIENCE to invoke or Provoke

You simply Obey as He told you to

The results are up to Him

BUT

If you vote without asking Him

Based on your “idea” of what you think from politicking, issues and appearances

YOU ARE IN REBELLION TO GOD

How?

Read Number 2 above.

That is not a Suggestion, it is a commandment

IF YOU VOTE

DO AS GOD TOLD YOU

The Soul of America

In a Nation that used to Pride itself of "Neighborly Love" "United We Stand" and "We the People" I fear for the Soul of a Country that begins motto's with "It's My Right to Carry a Gun" "Everyone in Government is Evil" and "Chooses to Voice what is Wrong with the World" than what is right.

Not the Land I was raised in.

People say the soul of a nation is established in the way we treat our elderly, our poor, our needy and our children. If that's true as odd as it seems according to the news, we are doing a pretty good job. I know a lot of people will disagree, but for the most part, IN AMERICA we do good with that.

We Care.

And that is the Soul of America.

We Care.

We don't always agree on HOW TO care but given an incredible need or a heartfelt tug and because we care, We Help.

As long as there is a Helping Hand coming from America we have not lost our soul, but merely let others with louder voices shout over the actions we do.

YOUR ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

Don't panic over Bad News or Trash Talk on the Radio

As Long as We care.

As Long as We help those in need.

As Long as we share what we do have.

The Soul of Every American is in the right place.
